Welcome to Fairtrade Lingfield & Dormansland in south east Surrey, a registered Fairtrade Zone with the Fairtrade Foundation UK (www.fairtrade.org.uk/towns ).
We are a community group set up in 2004 to raise awareness of Fairtrade and the issues of better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. Fairtrade Lingfield and Dormansland organise events locally, particularly during Fairtrade Fortnight – 24 February-9 March 2014. At other times you will find us at fairs and events, local and in the Tandridge District area, with a Traidcraft stall of lovely Fairtrade crafts and foods (www.traidcraft.co.uk).
Please look out for us and come and say ‘hello’. We advertise events in local community magazines and the Press and here on our website.
Contact us at LDFairtradegrp@aol.com. We are always glad to welcome more volunteers!
There are 569 Fairtrade counties, towns, zones, villages registered with Fairtrade Foundation UK and more than 1,000 worldwide, together with Fairtrade schools, universities and churches.
